Support Great Artists In Their Time Of Need

Anderson Family Fire Fund

As we watch those on the West Coast fight for safety and refuge from the wildfires, an unfortunate episode has occurred right here on the East Coast and has affected one of our very own within the DSE Live community.

Client and friend, Marcus Anderson has been an incredible person to partner with and we have had the privilege of introducing more and more people to the talents of this amazing artist. When we received the news that Marcus’ family home burned down December 10th while he was performing in his hometown of Spartanburg, SC, we were shocked and wondering how something like this could happen to such great people right before Christmas. Miraculously, Marcus’ parents made it out of the home unscathed and no one was harmed in the matter. However, the house could not be saved. The timing of this tragedy is devastatingly hard as Christmas traditions such as hanging wreaths, placing gifts under the tree and preparing family dinner cannot take place for the Andersons. The fire consumed the entire home and no valuables, photo albums or heirlooms could be salvaged.

Thanks to his uncle who didn’t hesitate to call on the troops, a GoFundMe was started to help support the Andersons. We want to support Marcus and his family in any way possible so that they have an optimistic start on rebuilding their home and creating new memories for the next generation. With this being the holidays and Marcus Anderson’s contribution to making music and creating shows that the whole family can enjoy, we want to rally support for the Anderson family so that this incident doesn’t define the most wonderful time of the year for them.

Christmas 2017 will be different for the Andersons, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be joyous. We can all contribute to bringing holiday cheer with a generous donation to the Anderson Family Fire Fund and help the parents of one of our beloved artists this holiday season. We give thanks for the nurture and care that Marcus was reared under and that his family home was the culture that initiated the musical giant that is Marcus Anderson today. In all things, count your blessings.
