Get “Wind” of Eric Roberson at Bethesda Blues & Jazz!

Grammy-nominated singer delivers big time in Maryland for 2nd elemental release.

Giving listeners something they can feel, Eric Roberson prepared jazz-goers for the debut of his new album Wind at Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club on July 15th. Wind is the second installment in Roberson’s Earth, Wind and Fire album trilogy which was released on Friday, July 21st, 2017.

Roberson, whose groundbreaking appearances in the music industry marked him as one of the first independent artists to receive a Soul Train Music Award, is pushing boundaries with the Earth, Wind and Fire trilogy. Not only does he plan to release all three albums this year, but he is also presenting interim projects such as “The Process” and “The Product” which shares demos, unheard tracks and access to live sessions with the artists. A marketing strategy that is definitely unique in it’s own right, Roberson puts himself in a lane apart from his peers.

With a can-do attitude like this, no wonder fans were so enthralled with the performance of “Superman,” a special track featured on Chasing Goosebumps where Roberson appeared alongside a slew of musical creatives called The Playlist initiated by DJ Jazzy Jeff and Glen Lewis. A compilation of futuristic induced synths over a melodic piano arrangement, “Superman” is an anthem of its own whose message touches fans through words of empowerment and inspiration for both men and women and it appears on the first installment Earth, which came out in April. During the concert, Roberson also put music lovers in a mood with his covers of popular tracks such as “Bonita Applebum” by A Tribe Called Quest and “You’re All I Need” by Tammy Terrell & Marvin Gaye.

“Fire,” the final installment of the trilogy, is set to release in October. Visit EricRobersonMusic.com to get updates on the release as well as purchase music, merchandise and more.

For anyone who couldn’t make it to the July 21st performance in Maryland, Roberson is on the road, making stops in New York, North Carolina, Mississippi, Pennsylvania and more – just pick your place on the tour and enjoy music from a man that has found the right elements to make for a nostalgic moment. Congratulations Eric, you are the definition of Black Boy Magic!
