David Heredia is an animator looking to develop his new animated series called “Don’t Quit Ya’ Day Job.” He’s using Kickstarter as a successful means to finance the project.

The animated series is a funny and heartwarming cartoon about a disgruntled worker named Radames, who is tired of working for others and with the help of his friend, he sets out to start his own business. Unfortunately, their ideas are just get rich quick schemes that always end up blowing up in his face somehow!

About the Artist:
David Heredia formerly worked for Walt Disney Feature Animation in Burbank, CA and now owns and operates Heredia Designs, LLC design studio in Santa Clarita, California. As a designer, his mission has always been to make cartoons that reflect and portray the real look, life and experiences of Latinos and people of color, as well as stories that convey our culture and values. In the past, he was a motivational speaker for students at La Mesa junior high, Rio Norte Junior High and Canyon High in Santa Clarita. He has spoken at YearUp.org in Massachusetts which President Obama visited last year. David has been invited several times as a spokesman for Big Brothers and Big Sisters, having been a part of the program as a child. One of his biggest passions include teaching which he recently was contracted as an Urban Arts Instructor in Los Angeles, which served graffiti and gang affiliated youth and helped them to use their graffiti skills to become more business minded entrepreneurs.

The objective of this Kickstarter campaign is to raise funds to create the pilot episode and shop the series around to TV networks to spark their interests.
