Darnell “Showcase” Taylor & Sol Heaven Band featuring J.Vito

Darnell “Showcase” Taylor is an American guitarist, songwriter, producer and engineer. Beginning at the age of twelve, Taylor’s pursuit of guitar started in the church and he has now been playing for over 20 years.

In 1997, he opened up a studio with a business partner, producing songs for local and national recording artists such as:

• Denise lasalle
• Marcus Anderson
• Marion Meadows
• Nicholas Cole

In 2009 he executively produced his first gospel project for Marshetta Parker which led him to launch his own record company, Turning Point Music Group. The album had great success with the first single, titled “My Everything” receiving good responses from gospel listeners. The single was later placed on a compilation album project titled “Stand” headed up by Radio One’s Atlanta-based DJ Corey “Coco Brother” Condrey which also featured gospel greats such as Israel Houghton, BeBe Winans, Tye Tribbett and many more. Taylor will be producing Marshetta Parker’s sophomore album due late summer 2014.

Currently, Taylor is joined with Intertwined Music Group and has recorded his latest project with him. He is also on tour with international recording artist Anthony Hamilton. With goals to produce and develop more artists under Turning Point Music as well as record a solo project with friends, education is at the top of his list. Creating an after-school arts program will allow him to make a difference in the lives of the youth as well as impact others. Inspired to invent the show, be in the show and share the spotlight with others, Mr. Darnell “Showcase” Taylor sets the stage for a career as an innovative creative artist.
