YXplainIt LIVE at Beyu Caffe

When YXPlainIt comes to town, the venues have to make room to hold all that sound. Luckily, Beyu Caffe is the place to host this band from Washington, D.C. The big three will have their time at Durham’s most happening jazz venue on Saturday, November 18th with performing times at both 7 PM and 9 PM. This will be the group’s first appearance in Durham as YXPlainIt.

As solo artists, Antone “Chooky” Caldwell, Vohn “Mr. Higgz” Higginbotham and Chris “Biscuit” Bynum have experienced the Carolina’s when touring and collaborating with artists such as Ledisi, Chrisette Michelle, Shirley Caesar and countless others but it’s the love from fans in the Triangle that bring them to perform their debut work. As a unit, the group released their first album “Day 1” this summer as the first part of an installation of music that highlights their mantra of “33 1/3” which signifies each of their contributing components: Bynum on the beats, Caldwell on the bass and Higginbotham taking care of the melody. As they make their way to different stages along the East Coast, Durham is unique as the opportunity to have two shows in one night at Beyu puts them in front of a prime Saturday night audience.
